We will arrange Learn to Sail courses for specific groups on request. These courses are tailored to the needs of each group, taking account of their capabilities and learning objectives. Our main aim is to develop personal skills such as confidence, problem solving, team work, as well as to have some fun in what is usually a novel environment.

 

In 2018 we partnered with the Leonard Cheshire CanDo programme and with Pursuing Independent Paths to deliver sailing instruction designed to boost confidence and encourage activity. We look forward to welcoming them back in 2019.

 

We can offer end of course RYA Sailability certificates. For suitable candidates we may be able to prepare you for RYA junior and adult certificates for assessment by the Surrey Docks Watersports Centre which is an RYA Recognised TrainingCentre.

 

Please note that we are not able to offer public sailing courses. We have a limited volunteer instructor capacity which is fully used for our priority sailors. The watersports centre does offer a range of courses which may be suitable.
